First Days

Moving was always going to be a bit traumatic, trying to work out what to take and what to throw away, but also because of the potential prospect of this being 'goodbye for good' to a place that I had got accustomed to over the years – reminding yourself that your roots are in God not in houses is easier said than done, but good to do nevertheless.....

It was however not difficult to say goodbye to the cold, harder though to loved ones....

But the stunning beauty of a summer in Cape Town has greatly helped make up for the loss of the immediate access of dear friends and family.....

And even though the heat has been quite excessive at times (34 degrees C) one of the hottest summer days for a long time, we always have the swimming pool to cool off in.....

Unfortunately the relaxing holiday lifestyle soon comes to an end next week as Vuyo starts school and we get more fully involved in the life of the church
