Neil, Tendai & Vuyo in South Africa/Zambia #2

Hello everyone!

This time we can’t provide you with a whole load of photos as we’ve been embroiled in Visa issues mainly since we last posted some news.

We were hoping to take our time get used to everything and then start looking at how we stay longer, but when we turned up at Vuyo’s school they turned round and told us we had to change his visa to a study visa before they would have him on the premises- this was a major headache to start with, but now seems to be working itself out albeit Vuyo is still not in school! Today we hope to collect some school work for him to do at home.

The church in Helderberg is really good, a lot bigger than Guernsey, but has similar issues too as they seek to grow youth work and other ministries. Without having internet access at home yet, we have to go into the church centre to make contact with the outside world which has helped us get to know some of the staff. We’re now attending a cell group, which we’re enjoying a lot and Vuyo has joined a freshly formed youth cell group – all in all things are going well.

Gary is currently in Zambia in Livingstone teaching some of the leaders at the two church plants down the South West of Zambia. It looks like I will be going to Kabwe and Kitwe in March to follow up on another visit of Gary’s in early March when he meets up with the national apostolic team that he is forming.

Issues to pray for are personally for us to continue to settle in and get involved in the church in SA, but also for Joseph and Lillian Mwila in Kitwe who are considering heading up the church plant in Lusaka, a major relocation for them, but necessary if the Lusaka church plant is to go ahead.

Until next time, our love to everyone

Neil, Tendai and Vuyo
