Newfrontiers Welcomes in Kabwe, Zambia - October 2011

How do you join Newfrontiers? It is a frequently asked question when you are building relationally with people and churches across the nations. It is not an easy question to answer though as Newfrontiers is not a denomination and does not have the usual hierarchical structure all too familiar within the business world.

The simplest answer I have come across so far is that as a family of churches on a mission we flow together through recognised apostolic ministries gifted to the church in the form of individual people annointed by God. But how you get your mind round this is none too easy when you have been brought up on a diet of denominationalism and business hierarchies.

What becomes even harder is how you express this commitment publically. For the individual who has come to Christ it is done through baptism but when it comes to churches chosing to flow together there is no clear directive.

So when Casey Kalaso brought the three churches collectively known as CDC (Christian Discipleship Churches) based in Kabwe, Zambia into Newfrontiers at the end of October 2011 they held a marriage celebration, wedding cake and all....

CDC Marriage 3

It was a wonderful joyous occasion with many local dignatories from the local pastors fraternal and churches joining in with the celebrations.

Though seemingly a bit awkward there ocurred a wonderful prophetic act when Casey along with his wife, Joyce representing the CDC churches, joined with the apostolic ministry represented by Gary Welsh in the cutting of the cake

CDC Marriage 4

But the biggest cheer of this exuberant celebration had aready gone up for the oldest member of CDC who had been tasked with the celebratory dancing in of the knife to cut the cake....you just had to be there!!

CDC Marriage 1

It was such a privilege for me to be there to witness this special occasion.

At the same time as visitng Kabwe we also had the opportunity to travel up to Kitwe to see how the farm project was developing

CDC Marriage 2

And revisit the feeding program in Kapoto township, Kitwe an initiative of Dayspring Ministries who are already a part of Newfrontiers

CDC Marriage 5

With help from the United Kingdom and South Africa we are truly on a mission TOGETHER
